What's your favorite thing about where you live now?

The sand, I can walk to surf, this place can school you from time to time!

What does the ocean mean to you?

It's my spiritual guide. The ocean is the only place I can shut the noise off and push myself to the max!

Who did you look up to as a kid?

My two uncles. One was a Ventura county sheriff in the 60s and 70s. He was larger than life, I wished he was my dad. The other a surfer at the point in Ventura. He was cool, but no way would he show me how to surf. I was 7 but it still pissed me off and drove me to learn on my own. I've been in ever since. Thanks uncle Mike!

What kind of music is on your iPod?

Ozzy. Marley. Slider. Radio citizen. JackWhite. Talking heads. Led Zep. MJ. Journey. Topac. Getto boys. Ted Negent. AcDc. That's the music I train wit anyway.

What goals have you set for yourself for next year?

Win some sup races. Win some Stand up surf contests. Staying fit in both mind spirit and body so when I get the call I'm good to go uhhh yyaaaa.

What does your training regiment look like?

Stand up paddle full speed 6 miles open ocean straight to 2 mile soft sand run! 4days a week. Paddle surfing everyday. NO ALCOHOL NO DRUGS!

What is the scariest thing you have done?

90 ft cliff dive yes dive!

If you could be any superhero which one would it be and why?

Ironman he's bullet proof.

What is your favorite toy besides your surfboard?

My girl friend.

What words of encouragement would you give to a kid?

Don't worry about stuff that hasn't happened. NO ALCOHOL NO DRUGS!

What's the smartest thing you have ever done?

Started stand up paddling.

Yes and so is chess

Who is your favorite surfer?

Tom Curren. He changed everything wit style speed power.

Who is your favorite athlete?

Laird. He's always having a good time, in A 100ft or 1ft. I get it. Because of him I've had so many amazing days!

What's the one thing that could make the world a better place?

Live and let live. Pick up your flipping trash, and dog shit. Swallow your cigarette butts. That would help a lot. Volunteer somewhere.

If you could go SUPing anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

Indo I've never been.
